Two drugs are being pointed as contributing factors towards the mess that Tiger Woods now finds himself in — Ambien and Vicodin. As the Tiger Woods scandal snowballs, now may be a good time as any to talk about these two drugs and what they can do, in an effort to perhaps prevent the same situation from happening to other people.
Ambien. Ambien’s generic name is zolipidem, and is described as a sedative. Its legitimate use is as a drug that is prescribed to treat insomnia, at least for the short term. Insomnia sufferers who find it difficult to fall or stay asleep find comfort in the drug, which induces relaxation.
There are a number of side effects that an be associated with taking the drug, and one such side effect is having no memory of an activity that one recently engaged in.
